New OPs and EDs as we enter the second cour! I gotta say, the visuals in the new OP legit make this look like a battle shounen, lol…really liking the ED as well. The melody and voice of the singer are so soothing.

Probably should’ve seen this coming, but Shinpei and companions have finally lost one of the biggest advantages they had now that Haine is able to loop as well. This is going to be a really tough struggle, but I’m thoroughly enjoying this battle of wits.

13 episodes in and this show remains as engaging as ever!

Lol the OP really does make it look like a battle shounen and while the song itself is awesome i preferred a visual opening that gave nothing away. I mean if you have made it this far you know what the anime is about lol but still. Well maybe i can use this opening to convince my friends to come watch it

Opening 1 is so good it doesn't show any spoilers it's just some things and shinpei shooting himself that is so cool and the ending 1 is just see not cgi and they just inserted a song

shinpei slowly pointing the gun at him that also following the flow of the song was so good, i also like the vibe from the OP 1. OP 2 really makes me feels different about the show lol

In regards to it becoming battle shounen, there's a reason some people compare this series to Resident Evil, if you know that series well.

No, Resident Evil, because of the fast-paced actions RE can sometimes have, especially in later games such as 5 and 6.

Hmm well RE also does that in a moderated way, but also has the space shifting when thing where you're at a one place and suddenly you're in a different dimension and then you're back. Idk, feels more appropriated to me.

I'm also talking about tone shift. Like the first three games felt like actual horror, but then 5 and 6 became over-the-top action games that took away the horror imagery. STR is basically the same.

I always think that shinpei should cut off his arm because now that mark is in his hand the enemy can also loop and they're just people and those are strong shadows

YOOO that's headsmashingly gruesome!!! Well it's obvious that that would happen. Mother owns the looping power so it's not a surprise that she have a way to know the other timeline which make this more harder to solve for Shinpei...
I guess there will be at least one of them who will die at the end. Saving everyone seems like very hard to do or maybe even impossible.

I'm just gonna call it now that my predictions were correct, and that the mark on Shinpei's arm was a tracker that notifies Mother whenever he loops. And after sime fleshing out more questions keep forming:
1. If Shinpei cuts his marked arm, will Mother be unable to track her?
2. Are the shadows are ancient deep sea jelly fish with unique morphological features thus making the alien theory bull? (from the op it hints)
3. If Shinpei loops is he obligated to not share info just incase his friends get copied?

Your point 2 also links the fact that Shinpei's parents were marine archeologists and probably found out something about the shadows and died due to that, which is why Shinpei also got tangled to solve the shadow's mysteries and will probably figure out in the future that his parents were affiliated with the shadows too.

My guess is that they dug up the jar where Hiruko Sama was sealed and brought it to the surface. When they opened it trouble started happening and we can all guess the rest Xane Fosterg@be

I feel like that mark can't be removed anymore just by cutting off his hand I think ushio might get rid of it because we get to see ushio unlocked some new powers

Ok watchers of summertime render lets discuss these things cause there has been something bothering me from episode 1 but first

1. i dont think that cutting off his hand is enough but i feel like Ushio should be able to cleanse it if she tries
2. In that moment that we found out they were divers "in that spot" i figure they discovered shadows and were killed. they could be aliens who landed in the sea and adapted or just real badass jelly fish lol
3. he can do as he wishes but he DID run a risk when he shares with his friends incase they got copied. it shouldn't be a factor anymore since she is looping now

Im gonna make two other points but as a comment by itself so you all should look for it

Cutting it off won't matter..... I think Ushio is the one who can get rid of it since she can mimic mother's ability.

Don't worry about it. It's going to be a little underwhelming over it but still Haine's going to try to use the loops against Shinpei as a double edge sword shortly.

yeah he came home and they did some test in the hospital and couldn't find out anything wrong as soon as he came home he start to drink alcohol for every single day . I believe he has some really serious illness in his body and if he keep drinking I don't know wt will happen.
